- Planting: several vines planted by JB from 2020–2021 onwards; planting continues. Cultivation: good growth, using native non-fruit trees as living supports. Renewal: some vines die after 3–4 years. Replanting maintains a small production; further planting is planned. Harvest: ripe fruit falls naturally and is collected from the ground. The thick rind limits damage from goats, chickens, ducks and other passing animals, according to observations at Odo. Uses: eaten on site, given to visitors, made into juice, syrup and a sparkling drink fermented with ginger bug (passion fruit “champagne”).
