Reference leaves and inflorescence
Botanical reference
- A clump-forming perennial with persistent basal sheaths. Kew describes stems of 0.75–3 m and leaves 20–60 cm long by 3–15 mm wide, generally drooping over their outer third. - Provenance and context
- JB reports two aromatic grasses at Odo Valley: a smaller lemongrass with narrower leaves and a larger citronella with broader leaves. On 6 October 2026, he requests records for all three species. JB identifies the lemongrass as C. citratus. The larger citronella remains unresolved between C. nardus and C. winterianus: their records are comparison references, without confirmation that either species is present. Clump count, age, planting date and precise location are unrecorded.
The report concerns two different plants; it does not confirm the presence of three species.
